What are Dealer Record of Sale (DROS) Fees?

Transfer fees only apply when you buy a gun from another dealer/person and you have it transferred to us to complete the paperwork. The DROS fee is applied to every sale or transfer; including PPT.

All transfers are conducted by appointment only, typically on Friday and Saturdays. Pickups can usually be conducted Monday through Saturday. Please contact us PRIOR to ordering/shipping items to us. The best way to contact us and receive a fast response is via email. If you call during the week, expect a call back by Friday. If you need a call back sooner, please send us an email. Thank you.

Firearm Safety Test
If you need to take or renew your firearm safety certificate, we can provide the test on the same day prior to the transfer or sale. $15 will be due and paid to the State via credit card.

Other Transfer Services
We can help with shipping and receiving from firearm manufacturers or other dealers who provide warranty or repair service. This is typically for when you need your firearm shipped out to a company who is going to repair you firearm. DROS is not needed for this service unless there is a serial number change. Often times the repair shop requires you to use an FFL to ship and receive it to them.

We charge $75 for this service which does not include the cost to actually ship the firearm. It will be shipped out via Federal Express, either two-day or over night, with signature required. Shipping insurance through FedEx is optional but recommended. It is the responsibility of the firearm owner to provide proof of the value if the firearm is lost and a claim is filed.
